also MIB III was actually really entertaining.

The villain was good. The performances were pretty good. The costumes were good.

I liked it.

Back to work after a long, beautiful, exhausting weekend.

My boyfriend is so patient. I always fall asleep when we are hanging out, and he never complains. I love him.

I was exhausted because I spent all day Saturday at…the mall…

My parents went to DC for their anniversary so I stayed with my sister at their house from Friday to Sunday.

Saturday, my sister and I went to the mall to find her a dress and shoes for our cousins wedding in July. It made me realize that my sister and I, as much as we love each other, really don’t know much about each other.

We are 10 years apart, so when she was growing up, I was in high school and out with my friends, and then I went away to college, only living at home in the summertime.

It’s not anyone’s fault, but I like being able to spend time with her now that she’s 15, in high school and maybe needs someone other than her friends and parents to talk to or hang out with.

We found her an awesome striped dress with the best shoes (that she loves). She seemed confident in the dress we found, so I’m happy. As she is 15 (well, she’ll be 15 in June), she’s just so incredibly awkward and goofy, just like I was when I was 15. But she’s just so smart. I feel like I am proof that just because our parents live one way, or view the world one way, doesn’t mean she has to do the same, or strive for the same. There is so much more out there than what I grew up with and what she is growing up with.

not to say, at all, that our parents and our lives as kids aren’t incredible. they were. we’re spoiled and lucky. But I like knowing that she knows that she can leave the house and have her own adventures and make her own decisions and choose what is really important to her once she starts thinking about post-high-school.

after that, I picked up the house a bit (my parents house is proof that a big house is sometimes too big and 3 cats is too many lol)

Then we picked up my parents at the airport and I headed back home. Spent Sunday until this morning with Pete, making awesome food, cuddling and getting time in together.
